For all shipments booked, managed, or processed via the Express platform (Express.shipbee.io), the following additional terms, strict operational guidelines, and exclusions apply:
- Expanded Carrier Scope: For Express shipments, the definition of Carrier includes third-party logistics providers, courier companies, freight forwarders, postal operators, or delivery partners. ShipBee does not act as a freight forwarder or customs broker and does not store or clear customs for these consignments.
- Enhanced Information Requirements: Customers are solely responsible for providing complete and accurate descriptions for commodity descriptions, declared values, weight, dimensions, and supporting documentation. ShipBee is not liable for delays, additional charges, or failed deliveries resulting from inaccuracies.
- Expanded Return to Origin (RTO) Liabilities: Customers booking through Express are liable for RTO costs stemming from customs clearance failures and non-payment of duties and taxes, in addition to standard delivery failures.
- Carrier Operational Disclaimers: ShipBee does not guarantee transit times, delivery dates, customs clearance timelines, or general service performance for Express transactions.
- Quotation Exclusions: Unless explicitly specified in writing, all automated quotes exclude customs duties, taxes, VAT, GST, customs inspection fees, storage charges, demurrage or detention charges, remote area surcharges, re-delivery charges, address correction fees, return costs, and regulatory fines or penalties. ShipBee reserves the right to invoice the Customer for these adjustments after shipment acceptance.
- Weight and Measurement Verification: Carriers reserve the right to inspect, re-weigh, re-measure, and reclassify Express shipments. Final billing is automatically based on the greater of the Actual Weight or the Volumetric (Dimensional) Weight, and the Customer agrees to pay all resulting balance variances.
- Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU); recipients are responsible for customs duties, taxes, clearance fees, and import-related charges. If recipients refuse payment or delivery, Customers remain responsible for: • Duties and taxes • Return shipping charges • Storage fees • Disposal costs • Administrative charges, ShipBee reserves the right to recover such charges using any funds held on behalf of the Customer.
- Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) International Support: In addition to DDU, the Express platform supports DDP Incoterms. Under DDP, the sender is responsible for all customs duties, taxes, clearance fees, and import-related charges. Duties and taxes quoted during booking are estimates only; final charges assessed by customs authorities remain the Customer's responsibility. Failure to settle supplementary charges may result in disposal, and ShipBee reserves the right to recover all related expenses from the Customer.
- Cargo Insurance Terms: Cargo insurance is not automatically included in Express bookings unless explicitly requested and confirmed. Uninsured shipments move entirely at the Customer's own risk.
- Formal Claims Rules: Claims for loss, damage, shortage, or delay must be reported promptly according to Carrier-specific deadlines. ShipBee may assist with claims submissions but does not guarantee approval or compensation. Any liability of ShipBee is strictly capped at the compensation amount recoverable from the responsible Carrier.
- Force Majeure Protections: ShipBee shall not be liable for service failures or delays arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including customs actions, government restrictions, airline disruptions, Carrier operational issues, port congestion, natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or pandemics.
- Post-Collection Offsetting: ShipBee reserves the right to offset any outstanding commercial balances owed by the Customer directly against any COD funds or wallet amounts held on behalf of the Customer.
